Six Jia Days at Jiazi Hour — Read the Following Prohibited Months with the Hour A verse says: “Six Jia days born at Jiazi hour have Seal and Office generation arriving within Defeat. Monthly Wood energy makes them exceptional; the opposite gives empty reputation and profit.” Jia day/Jiazi hour has Jia at Defeat in Zi, yet hidden Gui Water supplies generative Seal and Office further generates Seal. The source says if Ji Earth breaks Seal and monthly energy connects, there is nobility; otherwise refinement without fruition. Jiazi day/Jiazi hour is Zi Remotely Inviting Si. Without Geng, Xin, Shen, or You in year/month, or Chou binding and Wu clashing, one leaves ancestors, establishes independently and is noble. Both year/month Yin with Shen/You fortune gives great riches followed by Wealth decline. Zi, Hai, Mao, or Wei in year/month with western fortune gives nobility; Jiachen month also. You month is judged only Direct Office and greatly noble. Si, Wu, or Xu month is ordinary; Wu month has Jia Dead and Zi clashing, especially inauspicious. Yimao or Yisi month indicates execution under law. These take day/hour as primary and attach natal year/month; differing official titles are charts from earlier generations. The same applies below. Jiayin day/Jiazi hour arches Xin within Chou and is noble. No Geng, Xin, Shen, You, Chou, or Wei in year/month gives great nobility. Another Jiayin month gives solitude and harm to kin, with only a damaged monk/Daoist phrase deemed acceptable. Hai/Zi year/month gives fourth-rank nobility. Wu month with northeastern fortune also noble. You, Chou, or Si month openly has Office/Killing; Seal in the pillars makes all noble. Mao or Wei gives excessive Body flourishing and unavoidable punishment/injury. Yisi month gives punishment; Dinghai a violent death amid flourishing. Jiachen day/Jiazi hour with watery year/month has overflowing Water and floating Wood, indicating changing roots and leaves. Shen month has Killing gather Seal and is noble. Zi month with Water/Wood fortune also noble; You Direct Office greatly noble. Yin, Wu, or Xu month all auspicious. Yimao gives punitive destruction; Guisi death amid Water and Fire; Guihai a harmful death. Jiawu day/Jiazi hour has day and hour clashing, sorrow and injury to wife and children. Monthly Wood connection gives distinction. Pure Zi/Wu year/month or Hai, Wei, or You month all noble. Jiashen day/Jiazi hour has Jia in Womb meeting Seal, Seal transforming Killing, hence nobility. Repeated Mandarin Ducks make offspring difficult. Southeastern fortune gives an intermediate civil or military post. Hai, Mao, Wei, Chen, Chou, or Shen months all noble. Yimao month short life; Dingsi death without an intact body. Jiaxu day/Jiazi hour arches Hai Heaven's Gate, gathering with the Imperial Enclosure at Jia's Long Life; do not judge it as Separated Corners. Year/month connecting Shen, Si, You, or Chou Metal energy gives great nobility. Wuyin year/month gives deafness, muteness, or wolf/tiger injury; Ren appearing is auspicious. Yimao month gives punitive death, Yihai death through robbers. The six days' year/month preferences must be interpreted flexibly, as below. A verse says: “Jiazi meets repeated Jiazi, intending the immortal plucking cassia in the moon palace. Chou binding, clashes and Office/Ghost disruption leave fame obstructed and incomplete.” Another: “Jiazi hour meeting Jiazi aligns Seal and Ribbon's signs. If Gengshen and Xinyou meet, with Chou and Wei also in year/month, Arching Nobility hidden is most distinguished, Si/Wu clash and disruption ordinary. Truly without punishment, conquest, Void, or clash, one must excel beyond the crowd.” Translator's note: The general rule, all six day-specific sets, historical-rank explanation, flexible-reading instruction and both ending verses are retained. The source's Ji-breaking-Seal clause, damaged religious-calling phrase and final verse's differing appearances of Gengshen/Xinyou/Chou/Wei are not silently repaired. Six Jia Days at Yichou Hour — Read Their Prohibited Months and Hours Together A verse says: “Six Jia days born at Yichou hour should not have Robbing Wealth and Sheep Blade. Fire with Xin Metal in the pillars, restrained into peace, gives lasting nobility.” Jia day/Yichou hour takes Xin Metal as Office, Ji Earth as Wealth. Ji hidden within Chou is seized by exposed Yi. Yichou is Metal Spirit; year/day/hour combining a Fire configuration restrains it, giving pure, harmonious virtue and nobility. Without Fire, cruelty; a Water configuration gives harmful violence and ruined household. Jiazi day/Yichou hour has linked pearls obtaining combination, a worthy wife and noble child. Spring has flourishing Body and dispersed assets; summer declining Jia but restrained Metal Spirit gives nobility; autumn nobility in close attendance. Chou month is most auspicious, Hai and Zi often harmful. Jiayin day/Yichou hour gives spring poverty, autumn nobility, winter riches; summer Fire restraining Metal Spirit is auspicious. Jiachen day/Yichou hour gives substantial riches and Wealth; connected Fire energy in year/month nobility. Jiawu day/Yichou hour has Metal Spirit entering Fire, weak Body and poverty or early death. Yin/Xu gathering Fire is one Wood repeatedly meeting Fire, inauspicious. Only Yin or only Xu, or Shen, You, or Hai month, gives fourth/fifth-rank nobility. Jiashen day/Yichou hour has illness and ordinary status. Zi-month birth with southern fortune is noble. Autumn birth transforms Killing; Seal emerging in stems is especially noble. Jiaxu day/Yichou hour has extensive fields, rotting coin strings and old stored grain, yet earlier punishment remains unavoidable. Yin year/month makes father and son both distinguished. Zi month with western fortune gives gold-and-purple rank. A verse says: “Robbing Wealth and Sheep Blade avoid the hour enclosure; Wealth and Office inside lock the gate. Chen and Wei meeting are greatly auspicious; without them, pass mornings and evenings at ease.” Another: “Jia day meeting Yichou hour stores gold and jade within Storehouse. Heavenly-Yi Noble Person with Robbing Wealth injury is a bright moon's light obscured by clouds. Fire configuration and southern fortune are noble, Metal Spirit properly restrained. Withered Wood and abundant Water are ordinary; leaving ancestors and homeland brings late flourishing.” Translator's note: All six day-specific judgments and both ending verses remain, including different spring/summer and isolated-versus-combined Yin/Xu conditions. No rank or adverse claim is standardized from a different version. Six Jia Days at Bingyin Hour A verse says: “Six Jia days born at Bingyin hour have Day Emolument in the hour, seated on Food Spirit. No flourishing Ren, punishment, or disruption gives blessing, longevity, health, peace, wealth, and rank.” Jia Wood at Yin is healthy and flourishing; Bing is Food Spirit, Longevity Star obtaining ground. No Ren seizing or Gui conquering, and monthly Fire/Wood energy connecting, gives nobility. Office Star and Shen clashing Emolument are avoided. Jiazi day/Bingyin hour is Day Emolument in the Hour, Finding the Road to Blue Clouds. Without Geng/Xin Metal in year/month, noble; connected Wood/Fire energy, extremely noble. Wu month with northeastern fortune gives fifth/sixth rank. Shen month is Returning Emolument Meeting Killing, great authority and nobility; Water configuration ordinary. Year/month same as day/hour gives great nobility. Jiayin day/Bingyin hour without Si, You, Xin, or Chou in year/month is Returning Emolument, reaching first/second rank. Pure Wood/Fire with Earth gives wealth and nobility, one of six ministerial offices. Bingzi and Hai, Wei, or Mao month give fourth/fifth rank; southwestern fortune most auspicious. Some You/Chou months are also noble, depending on emerging stems and year. Jiachen day/Bingyin hour is Dragon and Tiger Arching the Gate, also Dragon Singing and Tiger Roaring, indicating nobility or lifelong proximity to nobles. Wealth's source is sometimes gained and lost, reputation and profit completed and uncompleted. Wei/Yin year/month reaches six ministries; Xu month censorial office; You third rank; Zi, Hai, or Chou fourth/fifth rank, with western fortune great nobility. Mao/Si year/month is ordinary. Jiawu day/Bingyin hour has Body in Extinction and ordinary status. Water-month connection nourishes Wood and is auspicious; Fire month short life, mitigated by Equal stems assisting. Jiashen day/Bingyin hour has day/hour clash, sorrow and wife/child injury. Same year/month/day gives great nobility. Si or Hai second/third rank; Chen/Zi year/month gathers Water, transforms Killing into Seal, and is auspicious. Wei Wealth Storehouse is also auspicious. Jiaxu day/Bingyin hour with Earth in year/month gives riches, Metal reversals. With Metal, birth in Hai/Zi Seal month is necessary for nobility; other months do not. A verse says: “Jia and Bing invite each other into Tiger territory; Blessing Star on Emolument displays writing. Four-pillar fortune without injury sooner or later ascends to the censorial hall.” Another: “Jia day/Yin hour meeting Bing aligns learning, blessing and Emolument. Chen and Xu give two or three wives, Emolument returning to the origin gives wealth and nobility. Ding, Wu, Geng, and Shen reduce blessing; no Office binding is remarkable. Born for distinction and helped by others, this fate is difficult first, easy later.” Translator's note: All six day sections, monthly/rank/fortune conditions and both ending verses remain, including the compact Bingzi/Hai/Wei/Mao list and special noble Shen cases despite the opening Shen avoidance. Repeated or contrasting judgments are not silently harmonized. Six Jia Days at Dingmao Hour A verse says: “Six Jia days born at Dingmao hour have troubling Hurting Office and Sheep Blade. Even monthly energy's support cannot prevent a bad nature in the source's judgment.” Jia uses Xin as Office, injured by Ding; the printed Si as Wealth, seized by Yi Wood within Mao, indicating cruelty. Xin emerging makes Hurting Office See Office, with a hundred punitive harms, dangerous fortune and a bad end. Seven Killings combining Blade in the pillars, followed by Wealth, Office, or Seal, gives great nobility. Jiazi day/Dingmao hour describes exploitation, stinginess, uncertain undertakings, wife/child injury or death abroad. Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei month gives nobility; Mao month harm, though Office/Killing restraint in the pillars is auspicious. Jiayin day/Dingmao hour with balanced Wood/Fire in year/month has communicating brightness and nobility. Monthly Chou or Wei is noble. Yihai month gives writing unmatched in the world and third-rank office. Complete Metal/Water stems and branches display both Office and Seal nobility. Jiachen day/Dingmao hour has abundant assets, surplus livelihood, a worthy wife and filial child, judged high. Spring excessively flourishing without restraint gives poverty, low status, and disability. Chou or You month noble. Jiawu day/Dingmao hour has Body seated on Extinction and harmful punishment. Autumn/winter birth short life, spring/summer wealth and nobility. Jiawu month gives great nobility; northeastern fortune is appropriate. Jiashen day/Dingmao hour governs military or powerful censorial office. You month with Fire/Wood fortune gives middling nobility; Yin/Wu year/month great nobility. Jiaxu day/Dingmao hour meeting Hai month has learning and noble distinction. Sheep Blade is most destructive; transformation needs restraint or combination for auspiciousness. Weak Body has no harm. Pure Killing in year/month and autumn Jia Wood indicates early death. A verse says: “Six Jia days meeting Dingmao repeatedly fear clash and punishment. Fortune Turning Away from Emolument gives no official nobility; lifelong study cannot win fame.” Another: “Jia day at Dingmao hour has Hurting Office and Sheep Blade following. Jia meeting Ding Fire becomes ash; parents and siblings cannot be relied upon. Ancestral fields and assets gather and disperse, wife and children suffer injury. Office/Killing fortune finally becomes remarkable; temperament turns between anger and joy.” Translator's note: The source's Si-Wealth graph, all six day-specific conditions, weak-Body exception and both verses remain. Six Jia Days at Wuchen Hour A verse says: “Six Jia days at Wuchen hour have Heavenly Wealth on Storehouse nourishing Body. Great merchants possess extensive fields; Xin Metal in the month completes reputation and profit.” Heavenly Wealth sits on Storehouse as hour Indirect Wealth, Dragon guarding Storehouse, indicating merchant riches and broad estates. Eighth-month Emolument has both Wealth and Office, riches and rank complete. Equal and Sheep Blade seizing Wealth are avoided. Jiazi day/Wuchen hour changes roots and leaves, surname and ancestral line, with worthy wife and filial child, judged high. Wei month with northern fortune is noble; You with northern fortune greatly noble. Jiayin day/Wuchen hour is Dragon Singing and Tiger Roaring, noble. Pure Chen gives middling nobility; pure Yin health and longevity. Hai–Mao–Wei three harmonies with strong Body and flourishing Wealth give great nobility. You, Chou, or Shen year/month also auspicious. Jiachen day/Wuchen hour develops Wealth through punishment/clash, repeated wives and late child, with injury to both parents. You month gives third/fourth rank; Chou also noble; pure Chen branches greatly noble. Jiawu day/Wuchen hour has much Wealth with success and failure and early discouragement. Hai, Zi, Chou, Mao, Wu, or Wei year/month gives great nobility; You month also noble. Jiashen day/Wuchen hour gives solitude and refined monk/Daoist status. Chou month wealth and rank, Yin especially noble. Jiaxu day/Wuchen hour gives great riches, and year/month supporting combination nobility. Yin/Hai year/month gives third/fourth rank, but day/hour clash and conquest leave early solitude and middle-age blessing. A verse says: “Hour Indirect Wealth need not be many; examine stems and branches within and without. Fortune reaching flourishing Wealth and generated Office succeeds; obstructed fortune and declining Body fear torment.” Another: “Jia day meeting Wuchen hour needs Xu assistance in the pillars. Wealth/Office fortune unfolds good plans, gladly meeting Money Dragon guarding Storehouse. Xin/Geng emerging give distinction; Ren/Gui nourishment prevents withering. Only many Equal/Robbing brothers are feared: annual and major fortunes meeting them bring calamity.” Translator's note: All six day sets and both ending verses remain, including the source's Money Dragon wording and contrast between clashing to develop Wealth and clashing to injure kin. Six Jia Days at Jisi Hour A verse says: “Six Jia days at Jisi hour find Wealth difficult to carry within Illness. Monthly Fire energy gives nobility; declining Body still cannot bear it.” Food flourishes and Body declines, Jia Wood Ill at Si. Even hidden Wu Wealth and Bing Food cannot supply bearable blessing without monthly energy. Jia/Ji are Level-Head Killing. Spring birth has flourishing Body and declining Wealth, estranged kin and cleverness defeating itself. Jisi Metal Spirit with Fire restraint, Si–You–Chou combining and southern fortune gives heavy reputation and high Emolument. No Fire in the pillars damages transforming energy, indicating harmful violence and sudden death. Jiazi day/Jisi hour gives poverty first, riches later, slight ancestral property, diligent wife and obstinate child. Yin, Wei, Si, or Chou year/month gives nobility but requires guarding illness. Shen, Zi, Chen, or Xu gives great nobility. Jiayin day/Jisi hour has day/hour punishment, sorrow and wife/child injury. Fire year/month gives clear judgment and military command. Wuzi year/month inherits ancestral shelter and riches. Jiachen day/Jisi hour gives substantial appearance, lifelong peace and achieved assets. Si, You, or Chou year/month with Fire/Metal fortune is noble. The next case is printed Jiawu month/Jisi hour: Metal Spirit entering Fire territory, greatly noble. You month with Fire/Wood fortune gives powerful military office. Jiashen day/Jisi hour is substantial, intelligent, decisive, solitary and purely noble, with unavoidable disruption and punishment. Jiaxu day/Jisi hour is Wealth Spirit's noble configuration, reputation and profit complete. Zi/Xu year/month gives rank five or higher. A verse says: “Jia and Ji make the central Earth Spirit; hour Chen and a printed Yi-shaped graph leave dust behind. Natal and annual/major fortunes tending to blazing Fire display far-reaching merit, fame, riches, and rank.” Another: “Jia day at Jisi hour has Fire upon thick Earth without light. Drought shoots receiving rain strengthen leaves and branches; Fire configuration makes Metal Spirit flourish. Jinshi fame has name without substance; ordinary people change ancestry and estate. Character is extraordinary; fortune brings its prospect in later years.” Translator's note: Jiawu month rather than an unannounced day correction, the Chen/Yi-shaped verse expression, all six case positions and both poems are retained. Six Jia Days at Gengwu Hour A verse says: “Six Jia days at Gengwu hour encounter Ghost above while at Death. Without Ding or Bing and with generation weaker again, busy poverty passes the years.” Jia Wood is Dead at Wu and sees Geng Ghost above. No monthly energy or rescue gives illness and short life. Bingyin month makes Body flourish and Geng Extinct, auspicious, yet also beginnings without endings. Wood energy gives regional office; Water energy with eastern fortune only bureau office. Jiazi day/Gengwu hour has day/hour clash, sorrow and wife/child injury, ordinary. Zi/Wu year/month or Yin/Xu month with northwestern fortune gives gold-and-purple censorial rank. Jiayin day/Gengwu hour has longevity in spring; summer Complete Injury with advancing/retreating Wealth. Shen gives authority, You reversals, winter wife/child injury. Zi/Wei year/month has Killing assisting and Seal generating, fourth rank. Jiachen day/Gengwu hour enjoys fields and gardens. Yin month with Metal fortune gives censorial office. Jiawu day/Gengwu hour ruins ancestral property and develops Wealth, yet Emolument through Wealth has no good end. Yin/Wu/Xu year/month is noble. Jiashen day/Gengwu hour with Zi/Chen year/month gathers Seal; Hai/Mao strengthens Body: both noble. Yin/Xu gathers Hurting to restrain Killing and provides Jia support, also noble; fortune favors Metal/Water. Jiaxu day/Gengwu hour born in Chen/Xu month is substantial, rich if not noble. Chou month with Fire/Earth fortune gives gold-and-purple censorial rank, Yin month pure nobility. A verse says: “Wu hour with the printed Gengshen is Indirect Office; suitable restraint makes it extraordinary. Weak Body, strong Killing, and no Food give difficult lifelong hopes.” Another: “Jia day at Gengwu hour favors Yin and Shen in the pillars. Strong Body and shallow Killing gain spirit, but parents and sibling ranks are troubled. Wife and child suffer early punishment, late life excels. Reversals and upheavals persist: ruin first, achievement later.” Translator's note: All six day sets, both poems and their source-specific conditions remain. Gengshen in the Wu-hour verse is identified rather than silently changed to Gengwu. Six Jia Days at Xinwei Hour A verse says: “Six Jia days at Xinwei hour have Office Star seated on Nobility, most remarkable. Monthly Metal energy must give honor; balanced Wealth and Emolument permit this judgment.” Hour Nobility meets Office: Jia sees Xin Office and Wei has Heavenly-Yi Nobility. Ji is Wealth and Ji Earth within Wei obtains energy. A Wood-energy month with support gives riches; Earth-energy month both riches and rank. Jiazi day/Xinwei hour in Chen, Xu, Chou, Wei, or Jiyou month has Earth/Metal territory and literary distinction. Jiayin day/Xinwei hour in Yin or Shen month is noble; pure You/Chou year/month greatly noble. Jiachen day/Xinwei hour in Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei month is rich; Si, You, Chou, or Zi year/month noble. Jiawu day/Xinwei hour is auspicious in spring, harmful in summer, too weak in autumn to carry Office Emolument, noble in winter. Jiashen day/Xinwei hour is auspicious in spring, arduous in summer, distinguished in autumn, noble in winter through a separately established foundation. Zi/Chou month gives great nobility. Jiaxu day/Xinwei hour has punishment first, rank later; Yin, Mao, You, or Chou year/month noble, Zi/Shen year/month reaching distinction. A verse says: “Jia meeting Xinwei is Wealth and Office; the road to blue clouds is easy. Not a featherless chicken becoming phoenix: obtaining the time flies onto colored clouds.” Another: “Jia day at Xinwei hour has Wealth and Office guarding Storehouse together. Noble Person, Wealth and Emolument are good prospects, suffering first and ending rich and honored. Gentlemen rise in office, ordinary people enjoy abundance. No punishment, clash, disruption or harm in the pillars assures a road to blue clouds.” Translator's note: Every day/month/season distinction and both final verses are retained. The opening Metal-energy and subsequent Wood/Earth-energy rules remain as supplied rather than merged into one requirement. Six Jia Days at Renshen Hour A verse says: “Six Jia born at Renshen hour have exposed Hurting and hidden Ghost seated upon Body. Without Bing and Wu, autumn/winter flourishes; a Kan expression with a missing graph gives wandering without settlement.” Jia Wood is Extinct at Shen. At the source's Shen Earth, Ren Water has Long Life and Geng Metal Established Emolument: exposed Owl and hidden Ghost. Flourishing Jia transforms Ghost into Office but still cannot avoid violent cruelty. Autumn flourishes Geng, winter Ren; without Bing/Wu restraint, the image is drifting. Si/Wu month is greatly auspicious. Geng emerging forcefully is judged as Killing; northern fortune noble. Jiazi day/Renshen hour in Shen, Zi, Chen, or Hai month has flooding Water and floating Wood, changing roots and leaves, yet Jade Hall and Golden Horse nobility. Water/Earth fortune harmful. Flourishing Body prospers, weak Body has unstable disposition. Siblings and Six Relations offer little help; plans establish independently. Six Jia Days at Guiyou Hour A verse says: “Six Jia days at Guiyou hour have hidden Office and exposed Seal, not yet extraordinary. Fire without punishment/disruption makes original Womb-Birth's nobility knowable.” Jia Wood receives Womb at You, supplying generative energy. Exposed Gui is Seal, hidden Xin Office. The printed Si Earth breaking Seal prevents nobility. You is Metal Spirit; Yin/Xu in the pillars and connected Fire energy give pure, substantial virtue and rank.
